description

The Intelligence Planner Certification Program (IP-CP) is part of the DoD-wide initiative to professionalize the intelligence workforce directed by the Under Secretary of Defense for Intelligence and Security (USD(I&S)). The purpose of the IP-CP is to develop, define, and measure broad-based core competencies for Joint Intelligence Planner (JIP) professionals across the Defense Intelligence Enterprise (DIE). The Joint Intelligence Planner-Proficiency Level I (JIP-I) is the first credential offered under the IP-CP. The vision of the IP-CP is to develop a workforce of certified JIP professionals, and to facilitate both professional development and training. The JIP-II credential is currently in the production/planning phase and a release date will be updated as that timeframe becomes more clear. The JIP-I Certification covers both foundational and full performance execution of Intelligence Planning. The purpose fo the certification is to demonstrate that a given population possesses the competencies necessary to successfully accomplish the mission. It assesses candidates on their knowledge and proficiency of IP concepts, principles, practices, and responsibilities. Certificants who wish to maintain their JIP-I credential will do so either by retesting or by advancing to the JIP-II, not later than 5 years from their official certification date. The JIP-I program is open to current DoD Civilian, Military (to include Coast Guard), and Contractor* personnel, who are in good standing with their respective components. Exams are offered at no cost through over 23 worldwide testing sites. All candidates must have an AGILE account on JWICS to participate in the program. Candidates may enroll in the Curriculum on AGILE (found on JWICS at https://agile.dodiis.ic.gov/ ) by searching for "DIA-INP-CUR-5000", to register for the JIP-I program.
