The Residential Fire Sprinkler Inspector/Plans Examiner is responsible for verifying the installation of a fire sprinkler for compliance against a set of released plans. This verification will include, but not be limited to, pipe sizing, fire sprinkler head location and orientation, riser valve identification, witnessing various tests of the fire sprinkler system and components.
In addition, the Residential Fire Sprinkler Inspector/Plans Examiner is responsible for determining if submitted fire sprinkler plans meet the requirements of the various Codes and Standards that have been adopted by their jurisdiction. This will include, but not be limited to; hydraulic calculations, pipe sizing, fire sprinkler head locations, riser details, fire pump information, standpipes, water supplies, and seismic bracing.
