The following general requirements apply; contact the Board for more information:
Applicants must:
1) Be of good moral character.
2) Have successfully completed a perfusion education program approved by the Board.
3) Pass the certification exam given by the American Board of Cardiovascular Perfusion (ABCP).*
* The exam may be waived if the applicant is licensed as a perfusionist in another state if the requirements for licensure are substantially similar to those required by the Board; or if the applicant holds a current certificate as a certified clinical perfusionist issued by the ABCP before 10/1/2009.
Fees may be subject to change. Fees are: application --$300; license registration (biennial) --$400; background check - $75.
