Registration is required when lobbying activity exceeds one of the following thresholds:1. You have engaged in lobbying activities for 24 hours in one calendar quarter.
2. You have spent $100 on lobbying activities in one calendar quarter.
3. You have agreed to provide personal services for money or other consideration for the purpose of lobbying.
"Lobbying" means influencing, or attempting to influence, legislative action through oral or written communication with legislative officials, solicitation of others to influence or attempt to influence legislative action or attempting to obtain the good will of legislative officials. Registrations and quarterly expenditure reports are now submitted through the Oregon Government Ethics Commission's Electronic Filing System.
