"Structural pest control operator" is any individual licensed by the board to practice structural pest control.

Fees: Examination: $65
License: $120
Renewal: $120
Live Scan: $49, plus a fingerprint-rolling fee established by each individual location.
Examination Frequency: Examinations given on a daily basis, an applicant can re-take the examination every 30 days.
Exam Locations: There are over 17 locations throughout California, and additional locations in other states and countries.

Experience Requirement:
Branch 1:
· Two years of actual work experience in Branch 1, one of which must have been as a licensed field representative in Branch 1 with the Board or the equivalent and accumulate a minimum of 3200 hours of actual field experience.
· Satisfactorily completed board-approved courses, prior to taking the examination, in Pesticides, Pest Identification and Biology, Contract Law, Rules and Regulations, Business Practices, and Fumigation Safety.
Branch 2:
· Two years of actual work experience in Branch 2, one of which must have been as a licensed field representative in Branch 2 with the Board or the equivalent and accumulate a minimum of 3200 hours of actual field experience.
· Satisfactorily completed board-approved courses, prior to taking the examination, in Pesticides, Pest Identification and Biology, Contract Law, Rules and Regulations, and Business Practices.
Branch 3:
· Four years of actual work experience in Branch 3, two of which must have been as a licensed field representative in Branch 3 with the Board or the equivalent and accumulate a minimum of 6400 hours of actual field experience.
· Satisfactorily completed board-approved courses, prior to taking the examination, in Pesticides, Pest Identification and Biology, Contract Law, Rules and Regulations, Business Practices, and Construction Repair and Preservation Techniques.

Average Time to Process Application: Examinations -10 business days Licensing - 4 to 6 weeks.
Renewal Period: Up to three fiscal years for renewal of initial license, three years for renewals thereafter. At least 16 hrs of continuing education required to renew license.
