mySkills myFuture can help you find new career options to explore. You'll find details about careers that may be a good match for your skills. You'll also find local schools and training programs that can help you move into a new career, and you can even view and apply for job listings in your local area.
How does mySkills myFuture find the best career matches for me?
mySkills myFuture uses a unique skills-matching process to identify new career options based on your experience. We take the skills you may have used in your past job and find other careers where workers often use the same skills.
How do I get started?
It's easy to get started. From mySkills myFuture, begin with any of the steps listed below.
Enter your Current or Previous Job
Type the name of a job you have held (such as nurse, machinist, or administrative assistant); we’ll then show you other career that use similar skills. For best results, use a job that you have had the most experience in—whether it's the job you held most recently, or one you left several years ago.
Find My Career Matches
Click this button after you have typed your job name. mySkills myFuture will search for other careers that require skills similar to those for the job you typed in. These careers will be listed on a new page.
Select a Career
If you don’t want to see career matches for a past or previous job, you can use this button to go directly to the career details about a job you’re interested in.

The easiest way to move around mySkills myFuture is to use the navigation bar at the top of each page.
As you move through mySkills myFuture, the navigation bar builds. For example, if you select a career that involves apprenticeships, “Apprenticeships” will display on the bar. You can then click this area to display details on apprenticeship opportunities.
